John Kirkby undertook the Ultimate Challenge of his lifetime. He ran 84 miles in just 30 hours, from Windermere to Ilkley along the Dales Way. This is three marathons back-to-back over a gradient of 8000 vertical feet, equivalent to climbing Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in one go!

Two staff members, Martin Cowles and Tim Brown, and a friend and CAP supporter, Paul Cribb, also ran the full distance to support John. |
During the training and the event itself, each team member ran an astonishing 437 miles; the equivalent of running from Bradford to Luxembourg. As a team they ran a total of 1748 miles; the distance from Bradford to Morocco!
