THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGEAs the debt crisis spirals, we believe that God has positioned CAP for ‘such a time as this.’ After 13 years of development, we are now strategically placed to make a real difference through the local church during this financial crisis. |
Raising £750,000 The ultimate challenge financially is to raise £750,000 in gifts and pledges by 31 December 2009. Thank you to all those who have pledged so far! We have taken this huge step of faith with confidence that God will be with us and provide everything we need to make this possible. 60 new centres will mean a 60% increase in the number of areas where we can start helping people who desperately need our service today. An additional 3,500 families will be helped out of debt and poverty, churches will be empowered to reach their communities and people will come to know Jesus Christ. |
Running 3 marathons in 30 hours Opening this many centres and raising this much money is an extraordinary challenge and one that requires an extraordinary effort and sacrifice... On 4-5 September 2009, John Kirkby undertook the Ultimate Challenge of his lifetime. He ran 84 miles in just 30 hours, from Windermere to Ilkley along the Dales Way. This was three marathons back-to-back over a gradient of 8000 vertical feet, equivalent to climbing Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in one go! |
As a valued supporter, could we ask you to prayerfully consider how much you could give and pledge to the Ultimate Challenge between now and the end of the year? We understand that your gift may require personal sacrifice, and for this we are extremely grateful.
