JOHN KIRKBY Through working in the consumer finance industry for 17 years, John was able to gain valuable management experience and knowledge that equipped him with the skills he required to build Christians Against Poverty in the UK and now also in Australia and New Zealand. John is the International Director of Christians Against Poverty, speaking and working across the world to challenge people to reach out to the poor and needy. |

MATT BARLOW Matt joined CAP at the beginning of 1999 and, having spent seven years building the systems and infrastructure to support CAP’s growth, was appointed Chief Executive in 2006. Prior to working at CAP, Matt, a marketing graduate from Lancaster University, had gained two years' experience of project management for a development charity in the third world. Matt says, “Since becoming a Christian in 1992, I have had a real passion to see the oppressed and downtrodden ministered to, and to see the church empowered to reach its local community with the awesome, liberating message of the gospel. CAP does all of this and does it with excellence, which is why I am so proud to lead CAP here in the UK.” |

KATHRYN FOSTER Kathryn joined CAP in June 2004, where her management and leadership skills quickly became apparent. She was rapidly promoted and now serves as CAP's Operations Director, overseeing the centre network and Client Services departments. Kathryn certainly 'makes things happen'. She has pioneered departments and innovations within the charity, whilst also successfully leading the charity through significant changes. Kathryn's heart is for developing others and she feels privileged to work here at CAP. Her vision for the future of CAP is to see sustainable growth in the centre network to empower the local church to reach as many people as possible, whilst providing quality support from the teams at Head Office. |

JANET THOGERSEN Janet brings a rich diversity of experience to her role as CAP Trustee Director. She has worked in the NHS as a nurse in practical and managerial roles and has served as a Magistrate. Janet is currently a Service Coordinator for a local cancer charity which provides support and practical help for people whose lives are affected by cancer. In addition, Janet runs her own aromatherapy business. |

PETER GREEN BA (Hons) CFP ACII ACIB APFS Peter is a Chartered Financial Planner and brings a wealth of business experience, having owned his own Financial Services Company for over 20 years. Peter is also a Trustee of several other charities working to relieve poverty and oppression. |

DEBBIE THOMPSON Debbie is one of CAP’s earliest clients and brings a unique understanding and perspective to the board of trustees. Through her experience of being both a client and employee, Debbie is able to input a grassroots perspective at the most senior level of the charity. |

TIM MORFIN Tim is a management graduate with experience of organisational development in a large multinational company. From his previous commercial experience he brings a particular focus upon human resources and strategic planning. For the past ten years, Tim has been Chief Executive of The Lighthouse Group - a national Christian charity educating young people at risk of exclusion from school. Tim's passion is for the Church to be engaged fully in it's locality, sharing the love of God in very practical ways, bringing hope and enabling change. |

IAN NUNDY Ian is the leader of New Horizons Church, the home of our Dewsbury CAP Centre. New Horizons is a church committed to reaching its community, and has been working in partnership with CAP since 2003. Ian has seen many lives transformed through the service offered by the CAP centre in his church during that time. With our partner churches being such key stakeholders, Ian offers a unique insight into how CAP interacts with and supports the local church. |

PAULA WRIGHT Paula, a Durham client, was elected by CAP clients to represent them on the management board in September 2007. |

ANNE VYCE Anne has supported CAP for many years. She was a Support Worker in one of our South West CAP Centres for three years. In June 2006, Anne and her husband John left their church, family and friends and moved to Bradford from Somerset. They both started working at Head Office in September 2006. Anne has worked in the Creditor Liaison Unit and CAP Life before joining our Supporter Relations Team in December 2007. Anne has five grown up children and one spoiled cat. Anne was elected by the other members of staff to be the Staff Representative in November 2008. |
