Wounded soldier to complete sponsored swim for CAP
09 May 2013
Corporal Phill Taber of the Royal Engineers received gunshot wounds to both legs in 2010 whilst serving in Afghanistan. Since then he has had to over come numerous operations and undertaken hours of rehabilitation, to regain the reasonable use of his legs. When Phill contacted us to share his plans to raise money for CAP, we were inspired by his determination.
'This year, after being inspired by the valuable work carried out by CAP, I am going to try and swim a mile in the Great North Swim. I will only be using my arms when in the water due to my injuries, making this an even bigger challenge.' – Phill
