Connect » Policy and government » CAP's response to the BBC's consultation on the TV licence concession
12 February 2019
CAP has responded to the BBC’s consultation on their TV licence concession for over-75s. From 2020, the Government will no longer fund free TV licences for over-75s, the focus on this consultation was to suggest how the BBC best move forward, whether to keep it, remove it or reform it. CAP has suggested that this concession should still be given to those who are means-tested and in receipt of Pension Credit, targeting support to those who need it most.
