CAP’s response to the Lending Standards Board consultation

CAP has responded to the Lending Standards Board consultation, The Standards of Lending Practice. In general, CAP welcomed the Standards, particularly the inclusion of Consumer Vulnerability as a Standard and the resulting safeguards put in place to protect those customers. We aired our concern that some customers would lose out if customer journeys become increasingly digital. We also placed an emphasis on ensuring that registered firms remain flexible with those in financial hardship. Read CAP’s response below.
