Dawn Butler MP teams up with CAP to see an end to the PrePay Rip Off

Following CAP raising that The poor pay more for their energy bills in parliament in December, we have teamed up with Dawn Butler MP’s PrePay Rip Off campaign to continue to call for a fairer deal for prepayment customers. People on prepayment meters (often the most poor and vulnerable) pay a shocking £226 more per year and many can't afford to heat their homes, their food or even wash! Today our supporters have been asked to show their support for our campaign by signing a petition to highlight the injustice of prepayment meters.

Dawn Butler MP for London Brent Central said; ‘It is great to be teaming up with CAP and I look forward to campaigning side by side. CAP’s excellent The poor pay more report highlights the hardship and inequality of this expensive form of energy supply and I will continue to fight for a better deal for those consumers who need it most.'
