Protecting vulnerable customers when installing prepayment meters under warrant

Ofgem have made their final proposals to ensure customers are protected in the process of installing prepayment meters (PPMs) under warrant, including capping charges at £100/£150 and prohibiting charges altogether for customers in vulnerable situations. We have inputted into the development of these proposals and have now written a letter to welcome the strong stance Ofgem is taking with these final proposals. This is an important step but we continue to raise our wider concerns about the experience of PPM users. Read our full response to Ofgem’s final proposals below.
