Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Below you’ll find the all latest updates to our services, some handy and helpful resources, and easy ways you can provide vital support to those hit hardest by the coronavirus.

Key updates

Update: 14 May 2020

We can now book appointments for our Debt Help service again! We’ve been working really hard to adapt our service so that it’s safe for clients and staff, and we’re delighted to be able to open the phone lines once more.

For the time being, appointments with CAP Debt Coaches will look a bit different. Normally, your Debt Coach would meet you face to face, but due to current coronavirus restrictions, we’ll be offering appointments over the phone instead.

Find out more here. If you want help getting out of debt, call us free on 0800 328 0006.

If you already have an appointment booked in, your Debt Coach will be in touch soon to find a good time for this to go ahead.

Update: 2 April 2020

Due to the ongoing coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we have had to temporarily stop all face-to-face Debt Help visits, community groups and events. We don’t want to disrupt our service but people have always come first at CAP and our priority is the health and wellbeing of those we help, our staff and volunteers.

Please be assured that we are working with our partner churches and other organisations to ensure that we can continue to bring real support and the love of Jesus, where it is most needed. We are looking at the kind of debt service we can provide across this time. It will likely involve a phone consultation but we have some compliance and data protection elements to work through.

The local Church has never been more essential. While the same services may not be possible for a period of time, other acts of compassion, generosity and love are perfectly do-able and we will play our part in encouraging and facilitating those.

There is no doubt that this is a difficult time, but we remain confident in the assurance that we have in Jesus. Hope is real, God is good and we place our firm trust in him at this time, knowing that: ‘There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear…’ 1 John 4:18.

I want help with my debts but haven’t called CAP yet.
While we work out how we can offer the best service possible during this time, we’ve had to temporarily stop taking new clients. We’ll update this page as soon as we’re taking new clients again, so keep checking back for updates.

Thank you to our supporters

We know this time isn't easy for anyone, but your generosity means we're able to continue supporting those who will be hit hardest in this season. Some of our head office staff wanted to pop by and say a personal ‘thank you’ for the incredible difference you’re making in our clients’ lives.

Ways to support us

We might be operating a bit differently at the moment, but we’re more passionate than ever about seeing families freed from the grip of poverty. Our partner churches all across the UK are perfectly placed to know where the need is greatest in their local communities and make sure no one is forgotten.

Will you support us today and help provide vital aid to those who need it most?
