Important information for our Debt Help clients

I have my first appointment booked in with my Debt Coach

If you’ve not had your first appointment yet, your Debt Coach should be in touch to let you know if your appointment will take place over the phone or face-to-face.

Please speak to your Debt Coach or call us at head office on 0800 328 0006 if you have any questions about your appointment.

Please note: Most appointments are still happening over the phone, but some centres are now offering face-to-face appointments again, in accordance with local guidelines. Our top priority is your safety and wellbeing, so please get in touch if you have any concerns.

I've just had my first appointment

If you've already had your first appointment from your Debt Coach, they will be in touch with you soon to let you know the next steps with your case.

My case is now being handled by head office

If your case is now being handled by head office, here are the best ways to get in touch with us.

Call us:

  • Our phone lines are open as usual. Call 01274 761999 to speak to the team. Please be aware that we may have fewer staff available than usual so we appreciate your patience.

Sending paperwork:

  • If you have paperwork that needs urgent action, please email a copy to contact@capuk.org. Make sure you include your CAP reference number in the subject line so we can deal with your paperwork as soon as possible. We can accept forwarded emails, screenshots or clear photographs.

If you are affected by coronavirus (COVID-19):

  • If you cannot pay into your CAP Plan, or if your income is affected, please call us as soon as possible on 01274 761999.

We might be working from home, but we’re still working as usual to help you become debt free as soon as possible. Please help us to do that by following the information above. If we make any changes in the coming weeks, we will let you know as soon as we can.
