An energy-packed choice for someone who likes to get stuff done! Here are three quick things you can do right now.

  1. Pray for CAP's work and all the people stuck in poverty right now. We can't do this without God.
  2. Follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to keep up to speed with all the latest breakthroughs and campaigns.
  3. Donate the cost of your drink to CAP, so we can empower more people to rebuild their lives. A little goes a long way!

You'll need:
  1. 50ml hot water
  2. 1 tbsp ground coffee (filter will do!)
  3. A cafetière/french press
  4. An espresso glass or tiny mug

Top tip: Before you start, warm your cafetière with some hot water to help create a full, rounded flavour.

  1. Boil 50ml water.
  2. Spoon a generous tablespoon of ground coffee into your cafetière.
  3. Add a splash of the water to get the coffee ‘blooming’ (releasing its natural oils and flavours).
  4. Pop the lid on and let it sit for a minute.
  5. Add the rest of the hot water and give it a good stir!
  6. Let the coffee stew for a few more minutes (lid on) before plunging and pouring into an espresso glass or tiny mug of choice!

A serious drink with a sweet twist. Let us take two minutes to tell you about the serious work we do, and we promise to end on something that'll put a smile on your face. Every year, thousands of people call our helpline in need of support to break free from the prison of debt. We partner with churches across the UK to provide free, face-to-face debt help in local communities. We're there every step of the way to teach budgeting, help clients with their paperwork, and figure out the best way for them to make their finances manageable. And after 25 years in this work, we can tell you there's nothing like the moment someone learns they're debt free. Watch Paula's reaction here:

  5. Decorate with various sprinkles from the cupboard and more chocolate powder!
  6. Drink it much too fast. Feel slightly sick but satisfied. Have no regrets.

Lorraine's story

Lorraine’s world blew apart in 30 seconds as her husband of 20 years walked out. Unable to cope, she ended up in a psychiatric unit and her finances fell into disarray.

When Lorraine contacted CAP, her local Debt Coach, Jon, came round and scooped up the pile of unopened bills. The letters were sorted and a debt solution was put in place.

With this overwhelming burden lifted, Lorraine could start to rebuild her life.

Now debt free, Lorraine says:

"I wouldn’t want to be anybody else. I’m happy with me."

Will you donate the cost of your drink to help someone like Lorraine rebuild their life?
