External Affairs Team Manager

The External Affairs team is responsible for building relationships with external organisations in order to build and raise CAP’s profile. Additionally they ensure that relevant industry information is brought into CAP to help shape and guide our debt advice and direction.CAP sits at the crossroads of numerous industries, audiences and sectors with EA building and connecting these relationships to further our work and fulfil CAPs vision - benefiting our clients, churches and wider society.Within the EA team sits CAP’s public and social policy work covering all of our work to influence society and Government on behalf of CAP and our clients.

The role

The purpose of this role is to support the External Affairs team in continually improving in their abilities to bring the outside world in to CAP - helping colleagues make sense of the world in which we work and our clients’ live; and to bring the inside world of CAP out - leveraging our insight & influence to bring about changes in industry, government & society that benefit our clients, colleagues, churches & the charity.The role reports to the Director of External Affairs, line manages the Relationship Management team, and has team wide responsibilities for managing team culture, monitoring & managing department workload, and measuring team output, outcomes & key results.
