Pray with us

'I was hungry and you gave me something to eat... Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.'

Our work is founded on prayer; as a charity we have time set aside in our working day for it and we acknowledge that we can do no worthy thing without God on board.

We would love you to join us in prayer – this page will be regularly updated with situations that need prayer. You can also receive our quarterly prayer diary though the post or receive weekly text alerts with a client's prayer need.

Thank you for supporting our work and vision through your prayers and faithfulness.

United

calendar05 May 2016

Today kicks off a week of regional gatherings with church leaders to share the exciting news of how the local church is tackling poverty in the UK. Today, we're in Edinburgh for the first United conference. Please pray for all the church leaders who are travelling to be at these events, and for the amazing clients who are sharing their stories of how their lives have been transformed.

Pray for our job club members

calendar26 April 2016

CAP has 145 job clubs around the UK helping people take vital steps towards employment. Please pray for everyone who is a member of one of these job clubs: that they would grow in confidence, that they'd learn new skills through the course that job clubs run, and that each person would find a job that's right for them.

Last year 674 people found work through CAP Job Clubs. Let's pray the number is even higher in 2016!

CAP Overseas

calendar18 April 2016

This week, please pray for CAP's services around the world. As well as our work in the UK, CAP operates in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Please pray for lives to be transformed in the communities where CAP works in these countries.

Training New Debt Coaches

calendar11 April 2016

This week, we're training new CAP Debt Centre staff. These are our new debt coaches and centre managers, who are getting ready to take some poverty-busting free debt counselling out into their communities as soon as they've finished their intensive training at CAP's head office in Bradford. Please pray for them this week as they receive input and coaching, and next week as many of them go on their first home visits to our clients.

CAP Clients Invited to Speak at Events

calendar04 April 2016

Every year, CAP hosts a series of fundraising dinners, which are key to raising the vital finances for the work we do. As part of this, we invite some of our clients to come and share their stories of how they have found working with CAP. These people are inspirational individuals who have often overcome huge obstacles in their lives. Please pray that we would find the right people for all our events this year.
