What is Fresh Start?
Fresh Start groups are small communities of people that provide a safe, confidential place for you to get help with your dependency. With the support of other people who understand what you are going through, the group will help you to tackle your dependency head-on through sessions that have been inspired by the Twelve Steps of Recovery. Fresh Start helps you to deal with the root cause of your dependency so that you can break free and stay free.
How do I know Fresh Start is for me?
Do you struggle with a life controlling dependency, such as binge drinking, smoking or gambling? Are you fed-up with not being able to stop for good? Do you feel like it’s just too hard to tackle it on your own? If you answered yes to any of these, and you would like help breaking free from your dependency, then Fresh Start is for you.
Fresh Start is not a replacement for medical help. If you have an eating disorder, or are struggling with a heavy alcohol or drug addiction, we recommend seeking medical support before starting Fresh Start.
Do I have to tell everyone about my dependency?
Not unless you want to. Fresh Start operates within the strictest bounds of confidentiality. You will never be forced to share information that you do not want to share, and the group fosters an environment of trust and respect for each other.
Is CAP just for Christians?
Absolutely not; CAP will help anyone regardless of their religious beliefs. We monitor our services to ensure that everybody receives the same caring service regardless of race, nationality, religion, age, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, or disability.
Does it cost anything?
No. Our service is completely free. We are able to provide a totally free service because CAP is a charity and receives donations from churches and individuals who want to help people.
