Holly found herself in spiralling credit card debt after a relationship breakdown. She then found out she was pregnant and her working hours were also cut in half. This is the story of how Holly found the support she needed through CAP and her local church.

Paul got into trouble with the police and went to prison. He struggled to settle down in a good job and fell behind on his rent. When rent arrears started creeping up, he found CAP’s number on a leaflet at his doctor’s surgery. That’s when he got in touch with CAP and found hope through his local debt centre.

With help from local CAP worker, Hannah, Julie could start the process to become debt free and gain control of her life, letting her be in a better place, emotionally, physically and mentally.’

Lifelong anxiety and work redundancy left Bea and her husband, Keith, in a debt crisis and feeling utterly hopeless. But, a decision to walk into a local church transformed her life.

After Simon’s wife passed away, he was left with managing the finances on his own. The debt started to build up and Simon lived in fear of eviction, suffering with mental health problems. Simon hadn’t had visitors in two years, so the personalised home visits from his debt coach, Jim, helped him gain back his confidence.
