There’s no obligation to leave a gift to CAP, but we hope you’ll consider doing so and help us continue the fight against debt and poverty in the UK.

Writing a will is the only way to make sure you have control over what happens to your money, property and belongings when you die. If you die without a will, the law decides who gets what.

It’s never too early to write a will. Having a will means you can make it clear what your wishes are, reducing stress for your next of kin and family at a difficult time.

If you have children under 18, writing a will is the only way you get to decide who you’d like to become their legal guardian.

Writing your will is also an opportunity to give a donation to a cause you care about.

You can write your will yourself, but it’s recommended you get help from a solicitor to write your will.

You need to get your will formally witnessed and signed to make it legally valid.

The average cost of writing a will starts from around £150. With our free will writing service, we can help you write your will for free.

Why leave a gift in my will to CAP?

Poverty leaves people feeling trapped, desolate and abandoned. Our faith gives us hope that we can end UK poverty for all – together.

We equip churches across the UK to transform their communities. We walk alongside those who are struggling. We campaign for wider societal change. And we actively encourage those who want to explore the Christian faith on a deeper level.

By leaving a gift to CAP in your will, you’re bringing light to the lives of others for many years to come. Your donation to CAP will impact whole families and future generations. Together we can build a future where lives are transformed by Jesus, churches are thriving, and UK poverty is eradicated once and for all.

There are lots of debt organisations helping people, but none like CAP, who bring hope and a message that you’re not alone.
