Poverty is ruthless. Will you fight back? Together, we can end UK poverty.

We’re committed to being transparent and open about how we use our supporters’ money. Every year, we produce a report demonstrating how we’re meeting our charitable objectives and how our finances are being distributed. The report includes a detailed look at our yearly accounts.

25 years of CAP

2021 was CAP’s 25th year. It was a year in which we continued to navigate the effects of the pandemic while beginning to see a rise in the cost of living.

Against that backdrop, we saw local churches rise up as beacons of hope and light in their communities. At CAP we’re so proud of our partnership with local churches. It’s because of them we can run services that give people the tools to break free from poverty. And it’s because of them we can offer emergency support to those in urgent need of essentials like food and heating.

The real people behind the numbers

Behind every number in our annual report, there are stories of real people whose lives are changing. People like Simon, whose faith pours out of him through a desire to help others. He initially came to CAP to resolve his debts, and is now a CAP Money Coach and Befriender, as well as volunteering at the local food bank and having set up a choir in his church.

During our CAP Sunday services in 2021, Simon’s story was key to inspiring churches to join in and help even more people in local communities across the UK.

You’ll find Simon’s story along with many others in our 2021 annual report.
