How your church can be involved

At CAP, we support and empower local churches with practical resources to bring hope to their local communities. We believe in thriving churches: not based on size, status or wealth but full of passionate, Christ-centred people committed to reaching their local community.

Are you part of a church? We need you! You can provide practical help to people living in poverty in the UK.

How your church can make a difference

If you’re part of a church, there’s loads of ways you and your community can get involved and join the fight against poverty in the UK.

Partner with CAP

Partnering with CAP means that you’ll be trained and equipped to run one or more of our ministries in your local community. You’ll be helping people to get out of debt, manage their money, find employment or learn practical day-to-day skills. You’ll be demonstrating God’s love in action in the most tangible way.

How does the Church respond to poverty?

Local churches have been providing practical help to those living in poverty since the very beginning. At CAP, we’ve seen hundreds of churches provide practical support to their community since our charity was founded in 1996. Our partner churches have provided essential debt help, money management and employment and day-to-day life skills training for some of the most vulnerable people in our society.

How many churches are in the UK?

There are more than 40,000 churches in the UK. There’s actually more churches than pubs these days. We see that as 40,000+ exciting opportunities to provide support to people living in poverty!
