CAP has signed a joint letter to Lady Lloyd calling for the Individual Insolvency Register to be made private.
CAP has joined organisations across the sector to call on the Government to:
- Make the Individual Insolvency Register private by default, protecting survivors of domestic and economic abuse from having their personal information published publicly and reducing stigma around problem debt.
- Introduce the necessary legislative changes without delay, removing the need for survivors to navigate complex, potentially traumatic court processes to protect their information, while wider insolvency reforms continue.
