Find out how CAP can support you and your church to provide practical help to those experiencing poverty in your community.

Why partner with CAP?

CAP is here to serve and equip your church so that you can demonstrate God’s love in action for your local community.

If you’ve got a heart to bring hope and good news to your community, we can provide the training and resources for your church to run one of our CAP services: whether that’s helping people get out of debt, find work, gain vital life skills or get to grips with their finances.

CAP has grown into a movement of thousands of Christians and churches. Will you join with us today, as we stand together to see transformed lives, thriving churches and an end to UK poverty?

CAP plays a vital role in helping us as a church outwork our mission to reach the least, the last and the lost. In today’s economic climate they have never been more relevant and needed.

The partnership process

Firstly, fill in our form and your local CAP Church Partnership Manager will be in touch.

They will chat to you about your church and help you to identify the right service for your congregation and community, and support you throughout your partnership journey.

Once you’ve settled on the right service for your community’s needs, we will support you to identify the members of your congregation who can pioneer your CAP ministry and we’ll provide advice and guidance on some of those common hurdles, such as funding and promotion.

We will train your team to deliver practical, life transforming services in your local community, hand-in-hand with sharing the love and hope of Jesus.

What churches are saying

In the last nine years that our centre’s been running we’ve been able to help somewhere between eight and 900 families in our local community who are struggling with debt.

Been amazing, the inroads that’s given us, not just with individuals, but also the reputation that we’ve been able to build up with local agencies we work with, with the council, with other people in our local area.

For us as a church, it’s been one of the best things that we’ve ever done. If you’re thinking about it, I want to encourage you to look at it in detail and really consider going for it.

Questions

We ask churches to make a contribution to the running cost of CAP services. This cost varies, so check out the individual service pages above for specific details.

By opening a CAP service such as a Debt Centre, you will be building a bridge to your community, directly meeting the needs of those around you by providing professional practical support and the love of Jesus.

As you seek to transform the lives of those in your community, we will support you and your church, helping you to grow new leaders, upskill your congregation and ensuring your CAP service complements your existing ministries and activities.

Yes! We understand that it may not be the right time for you to start a CAP service, but we still want to support you. Why not host a CAP speaker to inspire your congregation about the amazing impact the Church is having in tackling poverty across the UK.

You can find out more about all the ways your church can be involved here.

The first step is to get in touch by providing a few details here, we’ll then send you some more information and arrange a time to chat so we can hear a bit more about you, your church and your community.

Then, as you explore your next steps, we’ll be on hand to guide you through the practicalities, answer any questions and support you on your partnership journey.
