Places offering free or cheap meals for kids this Easter school holiday.
The school holidays can be a difficult time for many families. With the sudden break from free school lunches, it places an added burden on parents to budget for extra food.
Fortunately, there are a lot of places that offer cheap or free children’s meals. So if you’re worried about how to manage without school dinners, or just want a family meal out on a budget, here’s a list of where kids eat for free or for £1 this Easter holiday.
Restaurants where kids eat for free or £1
- Prezzo — Kids receive a free, three course kids meal, everyday at Prezzo when you subscribe to the Prezzo Italian Kids Club Subscription (£1.99 a month).
- Frankie & Benny’s — Kids eat free with the purchase of an adult main all day between 30 March to 17 April.
- Zizzi — From 29 March to 12 April (England and Wales) and 19 March in Scotland, kids get a free Bambini meal when you sign up to their Zillionaires’ Club.
- Franco Manca — Between Monday to Thursday, Kids under 12 receive a free kids pizza up until 6pm, for every full-priced adult main meal (in selected pizzerias).
- Cafe rouge — Kids eat free every day from 12–4pm with the purchase of any adult main.
- TGI Fridays — Between 23 March and 19 April, children up to 12 years old can enjoy a free kids’ main meal when buying a full price adult’s main meal, when you sign up to their Stripes Rewards.
- Bella Italia — Kids eat free Sunday — Thursday and can enjoy three courses and a drink for free with the purchase of an adult main.
- Bill’s — Up to two kids can eat free all day from Monday 30 March — 10 April (excluding weekends).
- Ask Italian — Between 27 March and 19 April, kids eat for free when you download the ASK Perks rewards app.
- Premier Inn — Up to two kids eat breakfast for free if an adult orders the Premier Inn Breakfast.
Pubs where kids eat for free or £1
- Farmhouse Inns — Between 30 March and 17 April, up to two kids can get a free main (plus a scoop of ice cream) when you buy an adult main.
- Beefeater — Two kids under 16 eat for free with every adult breakfast purchased.
- Sizzling pubs - Monday to Friday from 3pm, kids eat for £1 when you buy an adult main meal (available from 12pm during the school holidays).
- Hungry Horse – Between 30 March and 17 April, Kids eat for £1 (Monday to Friday) with every full paying adult.
Cafes where kids eat for free or £1
- Dunelm — Kids eat free with every £4 spent in the café. Choose a kid’s main, drink and two snacks.
- Morrisons — Get a free meal from the kids’ menu when you purchase any one adult meal with a value of £5.
