14 places offering free or £1 meals for kids this Easter school holiday.
The school holidays can be a difficult time for many families. With the sudden break from free school lunches, it places an added burden on parents to budget for extra food.
Fortunately, there are a lot of places that offer cheap or free children’s meals. So if you’re worried about how to manage without school dinners, or just want a family meal out on a budget, here’s a list of where kids eat for free or for £1 this Easter holiday.
Supermarket cafes where kids eat for free or £1
Asda Cafes – Kids (under the age of 16) eat for £1. Asda Cafes nationwide are offering kids meals plus a piece of fruit for £1.
Sainsburys – Kids’ meals are available for £1 when an adult buys a hot meal for £5.20 or over.
Morrisons – Kids eat for free in a Morrisons cafe when an accompanying adult buys a meal worth £4.50 or more. Kids meal includes piece of fruit and Tropicana Kids Orange or Apple drink or bottle of water.
Restaurants where kids eat for free or £1
Cafe Rouge - Free two or three courses kids meal at lunch or dinner when any adult main meal is also purchased. From Monday April 1 to Friday April 12.
Bill’s Restaurants — Up to two kids can eat for free when one adult orders any main dish. From Monday March 25 to Friday April 12, excluding weekends.
Bella Italia — On Thursdays, kids age 2–11, can eat for free all day including three courses and a drink. The offer is valid for one child per adult main meal purchased.
From Sunday to Wednesday, kids can dine for just £1 from 4pm-6pm.
Yo! Sushi – For every adult spend of £10 or more, one child under 12 gets a free Yo! Sushi kiddo bento box. From Monday March 25 to Friday April 12. Valid Monday to Friday and for up to three kids per booking.
TGI Fridays – Free kid’s meal when you order an adult’s main. Available all day, everyday. Available for new and existing Stripes Rewards Members.
Pubs where kids eat for free or £1
Brewers Fayre — Up to two free kids breakfasts with with every adult breakfast purchases. Under 16s only.
Sizzling pubs — One kid eats for £1 with every adult main meal purchased. Valid Monday to Friday from 12pm every weekday including holidays.
Beefeater – For every adult breakfast purchased, two kids can eat for free.
Hungry Horse – Kids eat for £1 every Monday with every full paying adult.
Cafes where kids eat for free or £1
IKEA – Pasta with tomato sauce, a soft drink and a piece of fruit for just 95p. Other kids meals are £1.50. You do need to be an IKEA Family Member and it’s worth checking the website first because not every UK IKEA store is taking part in this offer.
Subway - One free Kids Meal with any full-price Footlong Sub from Monday, March 25 to Sunday, April 14.
