CAP backs MMHPI’s Set up to fail campaign

A smart man dressed in a suit reading an important document.

The Money and Mental Health Policy Institute’s (MMHPI) latest research finds 1.3 million Universal Credit claimants are experiencing significant distress, and yet getting third party help is difficult and confusing. This is an issue that makes it more difficult for CAP to help people who are receiving Universal Credit and struggling with debt. We have added our support to the Set up to fail campaign which sets out recommendations to make it easier for people to get help with Universal Credit including better third party access systems, a simpler system and a design that maximises privacy and autonomy.
