Following an announcement into the changing remit of the Low Pay Commission, CAP has written an open letter to the commission. Within the letter, CAP covered the following:
- An encouragement to continue to consider CAP’s consultation response in this new phase.
- Highlight of CAP’s latest insights into the realities of deficit budgets
- A push for the long-standing issue of age-based discrimination in wage-setting to be addressed
- A recomendation that the commission consults with those involved in developing Minimum Income Standard (MIS)
