CAP has responded, as part of Taking Control, to the ECB's consultation on the ECB approach to complaints handling and sanctions

Christians Against Poverty (CAP) has responded to the Taking Control Coalition.

We support the Enforcement Conduct Board (ECB’s) guidance on complaints handling for bailiff enforcement but suggest improvements, particularly in monitoring, vulnerability considerations, and data collection. We emphasise the need for accessible complaint channels, especially for vulnerable individuals, and suggest a stronger requirement for enforcement firms to guide complainants to support services. Additionally, we advocate for independent technical experts in complex cases and request a more lenient time frame for complaints from individuals with specific circumstances
