CAP hosts fringe event at Labour Party conference

Panel members of the CAP Labour Party conference fringe event sit along a table facing the audience.

CAP hosted a topical fringe event in Liverpool this year, called Hope in a time of crisis: Addressing the long-term impact of debt-induced poverty’. Chaired by experienced advocate for economic and social justice, Mick McAteer, the event brought together experts from across the debt, politics, policy, poverty, economy, faith, and wider landscape to explore what needs to be done by the next Government. The event began by exploring the devastating impacts of the cost of living crisis and the role of churches and community groups in responding, before finishing with reflections on positive routes forward.
