CAP joins the advisory group to The Poverty Strategy Commission

A new independent commission has been launched to develop consensus around a strategy for tackling poverty in the UK. The Poverty Strategy Commission’s work will build on the poverty measure developed by the Social Metrics Commission. Commissioners have been drawn from a wide range of backgrounds and include representatives from the House of Lords, the House of Commons, the Civil Service, think tanks, charities, universities and businesses. CAP has joined the wider advisory group and will be following the work closely, as this way of measuring and addressing poverty is closely aligned with our principles as an organisation.
