CAP responds to the call for evidence from the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Poverty

CAP has responded to the APPG on Poverty’s call for evidence on the ‘(In)adequacy of social security’. Our evidence suggests that for many years the rate of social security has not been sufficient, leaving many households struggling to get by. We’d like to see the Government commit to ensure everyone in the UK receives an income that meets the Minimum Income Standard and see social security uprated in line with inflation twice a year.
