CAP responds to the Welsh Government's Consultation on the draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales 2023

Children

CAP has submitted a written consultation response to the Welsh Government, providing feedback on their Draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales.

Overall CAP views the Draft Child Poverty Strategy for Wales’ as a positive step. The draft strategy covers a range of positive objectives and encompasses priority areas which will help to reduce drivers of poverty in Wales. However, more needs to be done to recognise other leavers that could be used to enable families to have liveable incomes and children to thrive.
