CAP has responded to the Money and Pension Service’s (MaPS) call for evidence on deficit budgets. With one in two (51%) CAP clients’ having an unsustainable budget even after receiving debt advice, we offered key insight into the current constraints of debt advice for deficit budget clients. CAP provided some recommendations on how deficit budget clients could be better supported by the debt advice sector and wider organisations in areas such as income maximisation, housing and welfare rights.
